The Old Branch Market is a planned recurring community market at 6705 Old Branch Ave in Camp Springs, MD. It will feature local food vendors, small business owners, artisans, health and wellness partners, and family-friendly programming. The market is designed to create economic opportunity for local entrepreneurs and a gathering place for the community, running alongside the Academy's operations.
This is not a single project, it is a long-term neighborhood investment. The Better Childcare Project's 3 to 5 year vision for Old Branch Avenue includes a fully operational premium childcare academy serving 60 to 100 children daily, a recurring community market with 15 to 30 local vendors, free monthly family events open to all Prince George's County residents, a parent co-working café for working families, community meeting and event space available to local organizations, and a model that other neighborhoods and counties can replicate.
